The FortiGate 70F is a fanless desktop security appliance built for enterprise branch locations and mid-sized businesses. It combines next-generation firewall inspection with secure SD-WAN in a single unit that draws an average of 10.17 W and a maximum of 12.43 W. The system-on-a-chip architecture accelerates threat protection without active cooling. It ships new with an external DC power adapter that accepts 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz.

Sustained threat-throughput performance

Firewall throughput is rated at 10 Gbps for 1518-byte and 512-byte UDP packets and 6 Gbps for 64-byte packets. Latency measures 2.54 µs on 64-byte UDP traffic and the platform sustains 9 Mpps. Concurrent TCP sessions reach 1.5 M. These figures reflect continuous inspection workloads rather than short bursts, showing how the appliance behaves under real production traffic.

Ten Gigabit RJ45 ports for wired connectivity

The chassis provides ten GE RJ45 interfaces: two WAN ports, one DMZ port, two FortiLink ports and five internal ports. A USB port and a console port complete the I/O. No other port speeds or fibre options are present, so buyers needing multi-gigabit uplinks or additional WAN links must look elsewhere.
