Complete Anchoring System

The Fortress Marine Anchors FX-7 Complete Anchoring System provides a ready-to-use ground tackle package for recreational boaters. It includes the FX-7 anchor, a quarter-inch shackle, fifteen feet of G-30 quarter-inch chain, and two hundred fifty feet of three-eighths rope. The kit is designed to achieve a recommended 5:1 scope in water depths up to fifty feet.

Boaters without windlass equipment

This system suits operators who deploy and retrieve ground tackle by hand and need a complete rode for anchoring in moderate depths. It is not intended for use with a windlass, so vessels fitted with powered handling gear should select a compatible windlass-ready rode. Buyers requiring deeper-water scope or alternative rode lengths will need a different configuration.
