WUQ VesselView Mobile 8M0157078 Mercury SmartCraft Monitor

SmartCraft Monitor for iOS and Android

The WUQ VesselView Mobile 8M0157078 connects Mercury SmartCraft-capable outboards and sterndrives to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth Low Energy. It supports engines from 2004 and newer with 40hp and up, displaying digital gauges for fuel usage, engine temperature, battery charge and rpm on the mobile screen. Up to four engines can be monitored simultaneously from a single device.

Practical limits of Bluetooth Low Energy

Data transmission relies on Bluetooth Low Energy range, so the mobile device must remain within close proximity of the module while underway. The system reads only the data points exposed by the SmartCraft network on compatible Mercury engines; parameters not broadcast by the engine ECU will not appear. No cellular or Wi-Fi bridge is included, so remote monitoring from shore is not possible with this unit alone.

Plug-n-play installation with rigging caveats

The manufacturer states installation takes just a few minutes on compatible engines, pairing quickly with the mobile app. However, the supplier notes that additional parts, connections or wiring may be required depending on the existing boat rigging. Buyers without a pre-wired SmartCraft junction or suitable harness should verify their specific engine configuration before purchase.
