FosPower Banana Plugs 10 Pairs

These 24K gold-plated banana plugs simplify speaker wire connections for home theatres, amplifiers and A/V receivers. The pack contains ten pairs, twenty pieces in total, each accepting 12AWG to 18AWG wire. They suit installers who want a tidy, corrosion-resistant termination without soldering. Buyers needing plugs for wire thicker than 12AWG or thinner than 18AWG should look elsewhere.

Closed type dual screw design

The closed collar encloses the conductor to prevent shorting under sustained vibration or movement. Two set screws clamp the wire firmly, maintaining contact pressure over long cable runs. Six gold-plated leaves give a tight socket grip on binding posts. The design is not suited to open-binding-post terminals that require a through-hole pin.

Tool-free polarity identification

Colour-coded collars let you match positive and negative leads at a glance during installation. Strip the wire, insert it into the rear entry, tighten the two screws and plug into the binding post. The straight connector profile fits standard .42 by .42 inch spacing with 1.79 inch depth. Installers without a small screwdriver or wire strippers will find the job slower.

Questions about this item

Do the closed-screw 24 K gold-plated banana plugs generate any heat or noise when used continuously in a home-theater system?

No — the plugs are passive metal connectors with no active components, so they produce no heat or noise during all-day operation.

What speaker wire gauge must I already own for the dual-set-screw terminals to hold securely?

The plugs accept 12 AWG to 18 AWG speaker wire; anything outside that range will not clamp properly.

Will these 6-leaf gold connectors grip the binding posts on my older A/V receiver that uses standard banana sockets?

Yes — the 6-leaf design fits standard banana-style binding posts found on older receivers, amplifiers and wall plates.
