Mobile 12V Smart LED TV

The Transit Platinum Series is a 22-inch 1080p LED television that runs directly from 12V DC power. It is built for RV, boat and vehicle installations where mains voltage is not available. Anti-vibration construction and Flex Environment Engineering let it withstand temperature and humidity swings common in mobile use.

Best for campers and boaters

The integrated Smart platform provides Wi-Fi access to streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube. An SD-DVD player is built in for disc playback without extra devices. Buyers who need a larger screen for a fixed indoor installation should look at other models.

Deciding specification: 12V DC operation

Because the set draws power from a 12-volt vehicle system, no inverter or shore-power hookup is required. This single fact determines whether the TV fits the intended mobile application.

Questions about this item

How is the 12 V DC power connected, and what mistake do installers make?

Connect the supplied DC cord to a fused 12 V source; the common error is wiring directly to a battery without an inline fuse, which risks a short if the lead chafes.

Which moving part will need service first on the road?

The integrated SD-DVD drive mechanism is the only mechanical component; vibration and dust make its laser pickup the item most likely to require cleaning or replacement.

What temperature or humidity limit appears first during continuous mobile use?

Flex-Environment engineering is rated for wide temperature and humidity ranges, but the 178-degree viewing-angle spec degrades first if condensation forms inside the panel during rapid climate changes.
