Freedom9, Inc
An 8-port PS/2 KVM switch controlling up to 120 computers at 1920 x 1440 resolution in a 1U rack-mountable chassis
The Freedom9 FreeView Pro 80P lets one keyboard, monitor and mouse control eight computers directly. It supports video resolution up to 1920 x 1440 and includes a 1U rack-mount kit, two 180 cm KVM cables and a 90 cm daisy-chain cable. An on-screen display provides named-computer menus and an auto-scan mode cycles through attached systems at a set interval.
Administrators managing legacy PS/2 servers gain a single-console view of up to eight machines, expandable to 120 units through daisy-chaining. The switch requires PS/2 peripherals and cabling, so environments that have moved to USB keyboards, mice or video inputs will need adapters or a different KVM platform. It also lacks multi-user or IP-based remote access features.
The unit comfortably manages eight directly connected computers at 1920 x 1440 resolution. Daisy-chaining additional switches extends the limit to 120 systems, though each added tier introduces extra cable length and potential signal degradation. Beyond that count, or when higher resolutions or USB peripherals are required, this hardware reaches its functional ceiling.

Yes — the switch provides 18 PS/2 ports for eight computers but has no built-in keyboard, mouse or display; you must connect your own PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse and VGA monitor to the console ports.
The 90 cm daisy-chain cable connects a second KVM to the Pro 80P, expanding control to a maximum of 120 computers; both units must use PS/2 console and server interfaces for the chain to function.
Use the On Screen Display menu — it lists each named computer; select one and verify the monitor shows a stable 1920 x 1440 image without flicker or signal-loss messages.
