OSFP active optical breakout cable, 15 metres

FS NY

FS NY MFA7U10-H015 425Gbps 15m OSFP fibre optic cable

SKU CH-GNRY-AY7QA MPN MFA7U10-H015

An active optical breakout cable delivers 425 Gbps over 15 metres using 850 nm VCSEL transceivers in an OSFP form factor

  • 425 Gbps bandwidth supports high-density compute clusters
  • 15 metre reach connects racks across the row
  • OSFP form factor fits latest switch and NIC ports
  • 850 nm VCSEL transmitter enables multimode fibre operation
  • Active optical breakout design splits one port into multiple lanes

425Gbps OSFP breakout cable

The FS MFA7U10-H015 is a 15 metre active optical breakout cable built for 425Gbps links using an OSFP form factor. It connects high-density switches or adapters that require OSFP ports in data-centre and high-performance compute environments.

15 metre reach at 850nm VCSEL

The cable uses 850nm VCSEL transmitters over multimode fibre, which limits practical reach to the supplied 15 metres. Longer runs would require single-mode optics and different wavelengths not provided by this assembly.

425Gbps headroom for short-range clusters

At 425Gbps the cable handles aggregate throughput for GPU interconnects, storage fabrics or spine-leaf links within a single rack row. It cannot serve campus or building-scale distances where 15 metres is insufficient.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 15 m length or a shorter one for my rack?

The 15 m reach suits cross-rack links; choose a shorter cable only if your OSFP ports are closer together.

What does the 425 Gbps rating deliver in an actual link?

It provides a 425 Gbps aggregate breakout over 15 m using 850 nm VCSEL optics.

How does the OSFP form factor limit the connection?

The OSFP connector mates only with OSFP ports, so both ends must support that form factor.
