One-foot Cat8 patch cable with S/FTP shielding, 24 AWG stranded copper and 50-micron gold RJ45 contacts for 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps data rates
This one-foot Cat 8 patch cable uses 24 AWG stranded copper conductors with individual foil shielding and an overall braid shield. The RJ45 plugs carry 50 micron gold-plated contacts and the assembly meets TIA/EIA requirements verified by UL and ETL as well as RoHS compliance. It is rated for 2,000 MHz bandwidth and up to 40 Gbps data transfer.
The short length makes it practical for rack-to-rack or device-to-switch connections inside a cabinet where 40 Gbps throughput is required. Buyers who need longer runs for desktop or cross-room wiring should consider a different length because this unit is fixed at one foot.
The S/FTP shielding reduces alien crosstalk in dense cable bundles while the gold-plated contacts resist oxidation for reliable mating cycles. Backwards compatibility with Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 equipment allows the cable to serve in mixed-category environments without adapter changes.

A 40 Gbps RJ45 port is required to reach the 40 Gbps data rate; slower ports will limit throughput to their own maximum.
Yes, it is backwards compatible with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7 hardware, so it fits into existing RJ45 patch panels and switches.
The RJ45 plug clicks securely into the port and the link LED on the switch or NIC lights up at the expected 40 Gbps or negotiated speed.
