25 ft Cat 8 S/FTP Ethernet Cable

This 25-foot Cat 8 S/FTP patch cable supports up to 2 GHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps data rates. It uses 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors with individual foil shielding and an overall braid shield. The RJ45 plugs have 50 micron gold-plated contacts and a PVC jacket.

Double shielding and gold contacts

Each twisted pair is foil shielded and the four pairs share a braid shield to reduce crosstalk and EMI. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion for reliable mating cycles. Backwards compatibility lets the cable work with Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 equipment.

Cat 8 distance and installation limits

The 25 ft length stays within typical Cat 8 channel limits for 40 Gbps operation. Stranded conductors make the cable flexible for patching but less suited to long permanent runs. The PVC jacket is not rated for plenum spaces or direct burial.
