A 2 ft Cat 8 patch cable rated for 2,000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps speeds, built with 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors, foil and braid shielding, and 50 micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts
This two-foot Cat8 patch cable uses 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors with foil shielding on each pair and an overall braid shield. RJ45 plugs carry 50 micron gold plated contacts and a PVC jacket protects the assembly. It is rated for up to 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps data rate. The cable is backwards compatible with earlier categories.
The short length makes it ideal for connecting a desktop, server or switch to a nearby wall jack or patch panel where maximum throughput is required. Installers who need longer runs for permanent structured cabling should look at bulk solid-core cable instead. Buyers who want a different jacket material or colour will need another product.
At exactly two feet the cable only spans very short distances such as rack-adjacent equipment or a desktop-to-wall outlet. It cannot cover room-scale or floor-to-floor runs. Verify that the fixed length matches the intended connection before purchasing.

The cable is a passive copper assembly with no active electronics, so it does not generate measurable heat regardless of throughput.
Any device with a standard RJ45 port — router, switch, PC or NAS — will mate with the connectors; no special adapter is required.
The cable is fully backwards compatible with Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 links, so it will operate at the highest speed the older hardware supports.
