ADF + Flatbed document scanner

The Fujitsu fi-6240Z combines a 600 x 600 dpi CCD sensor with an automatic document feeder and a flatbed in a single unit. It handles media from 52 x 74 mm up to 216 x 355.6 mm and supports long-paper scanning to 210 x 863 mm. The scanner connects via USB and Ultra SCSI and operates on AC 100-240V.

Sustained throughput

In ADF mode the scanner maintains 60 ppm simplex and 120 ipm duplex at 200 dpi, dropping to 40 ppm simplex and 80 ipm duplex at 300 dpi. Flatbed capture takes 1.7 seconds per page at either 200 or 300 dpi. Power draw stays at 50 W or less while scanning and 5.70 W in sleep mode.

Interface and size limits

The Ultra SCSI and USB interfaces set the practical data-rate ceiling for this model. Maximum document size is 8.5 x 14 in, and the ADF minimum is 2 x 3 in. Long-paper mode extends length to 34 in. Supported operating systems end at Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7.
