Duplex ADF scanner captures 60 ppm simplex or 120 ipm duplex at 600 dpi optical resolution with an 80-sheet feeder and USB 3.0 connectivity
The Fujitsu fi-7160 is a colour duplex document scanner built around a CCD sensor with a white LED light source. It connects via USB 3.0 and delivers an optical resolution of 600 dpi. Designed for office use, it handles up to 4,000 pages per day through an 80-sheet automatic document feeder.
This scanner suits workgroups that need fast, unattended batch scanning of mixed-size documents up to 8.5 x 14 inches. Buyers who only scan occasional single pages or receipts will find the 80-sheet ADF and 60 ppm simplex speed unnecessary for their workflow.
The defining specification is the duplex throughput of 120 images per minute at both 200 and 300 dpi. If your process requires two-sided capture at that rate, this model matches the requirement; if your volume is lower, a slower device may be more appropriate.

Connect the scanner via the USB 3.0 port, install the ISIS and TWAIN drivers for Windows 8.1 or other supported OS versions, and ensure the PC meets the minimum specification of an i5 2.5 GHz processor with 4 GB RAM; the step often missed is verifying the driver installation completes before loading documents into the 80-sheet ADF.
The pick rollers and brake rollers inside the ADF will wear after high-volume use and should be replaced periodically; the white LED array and CCD sensor are solid-state and do not require replacement, while the double-feed detection sensor should be kept clean for reliable operation.
The daily duty cycle of 4,000 pages is the first hard limit under sustained use; exceeding it risks overheating the 38-watt operating power envelope and accelerates ADF roller wear, so batch jobs should be planned around that 4,000-page ceiling.
