The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1500 is a sheet-fed document scanner built for individuals and small workgroups who need fast, two-sided digitisation of paper, receipts and cards. It uses a CIS sensor with three-colour LED illumination and reaches 30 pages per minute in auto duplex mode. A 50-sheet automatic document feeder handles batches up to A4 size, while a manual feed path accepts larger sheets up to A3. The 4.3-inch touchscreen gives direct access to scan profiles and Wi-Fi setup without a computer.

USB 3.1 Gen1 and Wi-Fi connectivity

A USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-B port provides a wired link to Windows or Mac systems, while built-in Wi-Fi lets the scanner join a network for shared use across an office. Direct Connect mode creates a peer-to-peer link with a phone or tablet when no Wi-Fi infrastructure is available. The unit draws 17 watts or less while scanning and drops to 1.5 watts over USB or 1.6 watts over Wi-Fi in sleep. AC input covers 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz, so it works worldwide without a voltage converter.

ScanSnap Home software and bundled guides

The included ScanSnap Home application centralises scanning, OCR, file conversion and routing to cloud services or local folders, removing the need for separate TWAIN or ISIS drivers which are not supported. A welcome guide, safety sheet, AC cable, AC adapter, USB Type-B cable and a dedicated receipt guide ship in the box. The receipt guide helps align small documents such as business cards and till slips for reliable feeding. Dust detection and streak reduction features run automatically during each job to protect image quality.
