Dual-Computer Dual-Monitor KVM Switch

The GCROWN HDMI KVM switch lets you operate two computers with a single keyboard, mouse and dual-monitor setup. It is aimed at users who need to share USB peripherals and displays between two host systems that both support dual-video output. Office, media and gaming workflows can be switched without replugging cables.

Three USB 3.0 Ports At 5Gbps With EDID

Three USB 3.0 ports provide up to 5Gbps bandwidth for printers, cameras, scanners or flash drives shared across both computers. Adaptive EDID keeps window positions fixed when you toggle between hosts so layouts do not shift. Switching is done via the front button or the included remote control for desk convenience.

4K 60Hz Via HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2

Video supports up to 4K at 60Hz and scales down to 1080, 720 and 480 resolutions for older sources. HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 handles protected content on compatible hosts. The switch does not add extra video ports beyond the two HDMI outputs, so single-display hosts cannot use the second monitor.

Questions about this item

Does the EDID emulation need any firmware updates or battery replacement to keep window positions stable after switching?

The adaptive EDID is handled in hardware and requires no firmware updates or battery maintenance to preserve window layout when switching between the two computers.

What limits the USB 3.0 ports to 5 Gbps when sharing drives between the two computers all day?

The three USB 3.0 ports are spec'd at 5 Gbps maximum throughput, so sustained large-file transfers will hit that bandwidth ceiling before any other constraint appears.

How much heat does the switch produce when driving two 4K@60 Hz monitors continuously?

The unit is passively cooled with no fan; under continuous dual 4K@60 Hz operation it runs warm but stays within normal operating temperature for a desktop KVM switch.
