A two-port HDMI KVM switch lets you control two computers with one keyboard, mouse and monitor at up to 4K 60 Hz and shares three USB 3.0 peripherals at 5 Gbps
This KVM switch lets you operate two computers with one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor. It is aimed at desk workers who need to move between a work laptop and a personal desktop without swapping cables. The unit reduces clutter by consolidating video and USB connections into a single device.
The switch draws power from the connected USB ports and has no internal fan, so it adds no audible noise to the workspace. Power consumption is negligible during normal switching and idle periods. Thermal output is effectively zero because the circuitry only routes signals rather than processing them.
Three USB 3.0 ports allow a printer, gamepad, scanner or flash drive to be shared between both computers without re-plugging. Front-panel button and wired keypad give two ways to change the active system, with a three-to-five-second transition. EDID adaptation helps the monitor handshake cleanly after each switch.

Plug each PC into an HDMI and USB 3.0 port, then connect the monitor to the HDMI output; the step often missed is waiting 3–5 seconds after pressing the front button or keypad for the EDID handshake to finish before assuming the switch failed.
No scheduled maintenance is required; if a USB 3.0 port or HDMI connector wears out from repeated insertion, the unit itself would need replacement since there are no user-serviceable modules or firmware updates mentioned.
The HDMI bandwidth ceiling at 4K 60 Hz is the first hard limit; pushing higher refresh rates or deeper colour depths is not supported, and the USB 3.0 ports remain capped at 5 Gbps regardless of load.
