GCROWN USB 3.0 Bidirectional KVM Switch

This new KVM switch lets two computers share one USB peripheral or lets one computer alternate between two USB devices. It suits home-office users who need to swap a printer, scanner, keyboard or flash drive between a Windows PC and a Mac without unplugging cables. The package includes two USB 3.0 cables for immediate setup.

Sustained 5 Gb/s throughput

The switch maintains USB 3.0 transfer rates up to 5 Gb/s during extended file moves or continuous peripheral use, not just in short bursts. It remains fully backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, so older keyboards, mice or card readers work without speed negotiation issues.

One-button switching with LED status indication

A single press toggles the active connection while LED indicators show which computer or device is currently selected. This hardware-level switching requires no software installation and works across Windows 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS.

Questions about this item

Does the GCROWN USB 3.0 switch draw noticeable power or generate heat when left running all day?

The switch is a passive USB 3.0 device with no external power adapter; it draws minimal bus power and produces no measurable heat during continuous operation.

What cables or ports must I already have on my two computers to use this KVM switch?

Each computer needs a free USB 3.0 Type-A port; the package includes two USB 3.0 cables for those connections.

Will my older USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse work reliably through this switch alongside a newer USB 3.0 drive?

Yes, the switch is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, so legacy peripherals share the bus without issues.
