GE Lighting Q150CL/DC-ETC 150W Halogen Light Kit

SKU CH-EG6X-964XE

A 150 W halogen T4 bulb with double-contact bayonet base, 2800 lumens and 2000-hour life

  • Bright 2800 lumen output lights large spaces
  • 2950 K soft white tone creates warm ambience
  • 2000 hour rated life reduces replacement frequency
  • Fully dimmable control suits mood and task needs
  • 360 degree beam angle spreads light evenly

Halogen Light Kit Purpose

The GE Lighting Q150CL/DC-ETC kit supplies a 150-watt halogen lamp built for stage and studio fixtures that accept a BA15d double-contact bayonet base. It delivers 2800 lumens of soft-white light at 2950 kelvin for accurate colour rendering in professional or enthusiast setups.

Upgrade From Incandescent

The lamp replaces standard incandescent bulbs of similar wattage and base type, offering a longer 2000-hour rated life and full dimmability without flicker. The jump is worthwhile when a fixture demands consistent 360-degree output and compliance with 2012 energy legislation.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

Under continuous use the clear T4 envelope maintains stable lumen output and colour temperature across the rated lifespan. The shatter-resistant rating is absent, so protective lenses are advised in fixed installations where vibration or thermal cycling occur.

Questions about this item

Will the BA15d base fit my existing double-contact bayonet socket?

Yes, the bulb uses a standard BA15d double-contact bayonet base designed for compatible sockets.

How do I install the T4 halogen bulb without damaging it?

Handle the clear quartz envelope with a clean cloth or gloves to avoid oil contamination that causes premature failure.

When should I replace the 150 W halogen lamp?

Plan replacement around the 2000-hour rated life; dimming or colour shift signals the end of useful output.
