Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter 4K 30Hz

This GE adapter connects a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 1 or 2 source to an HDMI display. It supports 4K resolution at 30 Hz and 1080p at 60 Hz with audio pass-through for 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channels. The aluminium shell and nylon-braided cable resist corrosion and twisting. It is designed for laptops, desktops, projectors and HDTVs.

Check your source port and display input

Verify that your computer has a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 1 or 2 port, not a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port. The adapter only transmits from a Mini DP source to an HDMI monitor and will not work in reverse. Ensure the display has an HDMI input and that you do not need a USB or Lightning connection. HDCP 2.2 compliance is built in for protected content.

Replaces older Mini DP cables

The upgrade is worthwhile when you need 4K at 30 Hz or 1080p at 60 Hz with multi-channel audio from a legacy Mini DP or Thunderbolt 2 port. It suits early MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Mini, Surface Pro, Surface Laptop and select ThinkPad, Dell, Quadro, Radeon and other Mini DP devices. It does not support USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 sources.
