Three-pole 70 A breaker rated 10 kA at 120/240 V AC with bolt-on mounting for lighting panels and load centres
The GE THQB32070 is a 70 amp, three-pole miniature circuit breaker rated for 120/240V AC systems. It uses a bolt-on mounting style and a toggle actuator for secure installation in compatible load centres. The unit carries a 10kA interrupting rating at the rated voltage. It is designed for standard branch-circuit protection in residential or light commercial panels.
Under continuous operation the breaker carries its full 70A rating without nuisance tripping when ambient conditions remain within specification. The thermal-magnetic mechanism responds to persistent overloads by opening the circuit before conductor insulation is damaged. A 10kA short-circuit rating ensures the contacts can clear high-fault currents without catastrophic failure. Bolt-on mounting maintains low contact resistance during extended service.
This breaker replaces a worn or damaged THQB-series unit in a 100A frame load centre. The jump is justified when the existing device shows signs of heat stress, fails to reset, or no longer meets the 10kA AIR requirement. It is not suited for panels requiring plug-in mounting or for DC voltage applications. Installers needing a different ampacity or pole count must select the appropriate THQB variant.

The breaker is rated for 70 A at 120/240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting capacity; normal operation at rated current stays within UL-listed temperature-rise limits for bolt-on devices.
It fits GE lighting panels and load centres that accept the 100 A THQ frame, using the supplied lug terminals for 8 AWG to 1/0 AWG conductors.
Yes, the THQB series is designed for the same 100 A frame and 120/240 V AC system, so it mounts alongside existing single-pole units in compatible GE load centres.
