A 20 A, two-pole miniature breaker rated 120/240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting rating for GE panelboards
The GE THQC 20A 2 Pole breaker provides standard overcurrent protection for single-phase 120/240V AC circuits. It mounts on a surface or DIN rail inside compatible GE panelboards and uses a toggle actuator for manual switching. The unit accepts copper wire from 14 AWG to 8 AWG and aluminium wire from 12 AWG to 8 AWG via lug terminals.
Rated at 20 A continuous current with a maximum AIR rating of 10kA at 120/240V AC, the breaker is designed to interrupt fault currents up to that level without damage. The 100 A frame size supports the thermal and magnetic trip characteristics required for branch-circuit protection under prolonged loading. UL listing confirms compliance with applicable safety standards for this duty.
This breaker replaces a failed or outdated 2-pole unit in an existing GE THQC-series panelboard where the same 20 A rating and 120/240V AC voltage are required. It is not suitable for DC applications or for panelboards that require a different frame size, pole count, or mounting style. Buyers needing a different amperage or a DC-rated device must select an alternative model.

The breaker uses a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism with no moving parts under normal operation, so it runs silently; warmth at the lugs is normal at 20 A but the 10 kA interrupting rating shows it handles fault energy without overheating.
It fits GE panelboards accepting the 100 A THQ frame, mounts on surface or DIN rail, and accepts copper wire from 14 AWG to 8 AWG or aluminium from 12 AWG to 8 AWG.
Yes — it shares the THQC series form factor and 10 kA AIR rating, so it mounts beside existing GE single-pole units in the same panelboard without bus-bar modifications.
