A 40 A three-pole plug-in breaker rated for 120/240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting capacity
The GE THQL32040 is a standard Q-Line miniature circuit breaker rated at 40 A and 120/240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting rating. It mounts by plug-in into compatible AQ panelboards and Power Mark Gold load centers using a toggle actuator and lug terminals.
This three-pole breaker replaces single-pole or two-pole devices when a three-phase circuit or a 120/240 V multi-wire branch requires simultaneous disconnection. The upgrade is worth it when the load center series matches AQ or Power Mark Gold and the frame size fits the 100 A THQ envelope.
The plug-in mounting style restricts use to panels that accept Q-Line plug-on breakers, and the 10 kAIC rating at 120/240 V AC defines the maximum available fault current the device can safely interrupt. DC circuits are not rated, and the breaker does not fit panels outside the specified series.

Yes, the 3.3 in by 3 in frame matches the 100A/THQ size used in Power Mark Gold load centers and AQ lighting panels.
Align the plug-in base with the panel bus, press firmly until seated, then torque the lug terminals to the panel's specified value — skipping the torque step is the common error.
Replace the unit if it trips at or below 40 A, shows discolored lugs, or will not stay latched after the 10 kAIC interrupting rating has been tested.
