The GearMo GM-10127-B translates a single-ended RS-232C signal into balanced differential RS-422 or RS-485 using power drawn from the serial port itself. It targets engineers and integrators who need to extend legacy serial links over long cable runs without adding an external power supply.

Optical isolation and surge protection

A built-in optoelectronic isolator provides 2500Vrms isolation with continuous 500VDC withstand, while TVS suppression delivers 600W per line against lightning, ESD and transient over-voltage. The RS-232 side also carries ±15KV ESD protection, letting the adapter survive harsh industrial environments.

Distance and speed headroom

Asynchronous half-duplex or full-duplex operation is supported at 115.2K bps to 300M, 38.4K bps to 600M and 9600 bps to 1.2KM.
