Pocket Radio for Daily and Emergency Use

The Geartist 10P is a compact four-band radio covering AM, FM, shortwave and NOAA weather channels. It fits in one hand and includes a hand strap for walking, jogging or keeping in a preparedness kit. Simple analog controls make it practical for listeners of any age who want immediate access to broadcasts without menus.

Four Bands with DSP Reception

The tuner receives FM 87-108MHz, AM 520-1700kHz, shortwave 5.6-22MHz and NOAA weather 162.40-162.55MHz. A 16.5-inch 360-degree telescopic antenna and DSP chip pull in distant stations, though mountainous terrain or dense urban buildings can still limit shortwave clarity. The speaker provides room-filling sound for weather alerts or music.

Dual Power and Private Listening

A USB cable is included for recharging the internal cell and two AA cells (not supplied) serve as backup when outlets are unavailable. The 3.5mm earphone jack switches audio to headphones for private listening on a commute or in a shelter. No Bluetooth or wireless streaming is offered, so buyers needing smartphone pairing should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will this 2.7-inch-wide Geartist 10P sit steadily next to a larger tabletop radio without tipping over?

At 2.7 in x 1.0 in x 4.5 in and 0.4 lb it has a low centre of gravity and a flat base, so it remains stable beside bulkier units on a shelf or desk.

How can I confirm the NOAA weather band on the 10P is receiving alerts correctly after I turn it on?

Rotate the band switch to NOAA, extend the 16.5-inch telescopic antenna fully, and listen for the continuous 162.40–162.55 MHz broadcast; a clear voice signal means the DSP chip and antenna are working.

Does the box include the USB charging cable and AA cells, or must I buy them separately?

The package supplies the radio, a hand strap, a 3.5 mm earphone, and a USB charging cable; two AA batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.
