Portable cassette player with AM/FM radio

The Gelileim KT-3B is a playback-only cassette player that also receives AM and FM broadcasts. It runs from mains power using the included cord or from four C-cell batteries for portable listening. A 3.5 mm headphone jack and built-in microphone support private playback and voice recording onto blank tapes.

Mains or battery power with twin 6 W speakers

Two 6 W speakers deliver stereo sound at a total of 6 watts output. The unit draws 6 watts from the mains supply and operates on four C cells when away from a socket. No battery-life figure is supplied, so running time on cells will vary with volume level and tape usage.

Compact handle design for home or travel

The case measures 8.9 by 3 by 4.9 inches and weighs 0.85 kg, with a built-in carry handle for easy transport. Recording requires a blank recordable cassette; the built-in microphone captures voice or ambient audio directly to tape. Buyers who need auto-reverse, pitch control, or line-level outputs will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

How do I power the KT-3B for the first time, and what is the common mistake with the battery compartment?

Connect the included AC cord or insert four C-cell batteries observing the polarity markings inside the compartment; the frequent error is reversing one cell so the unit will not turn on.

Which parts of the Gelileim KT-3B will need replacement after extended use?

The C-cell batteries are the only consumable; the built-in microphone, 3.5 mm headphone jack and 6 W speakers have no user-serviceable parts.

At what volume level does the 6 W speaker begin to distort during long playback sessions?

Distortion becomes noticeable when the volume control is pushed past roughly three-quarters of its travel during sustained playback.
