Designed for desktop listening

The Gemini SW208 is a pair of active bookshelf speakers built for computers, monitors and gaming setups. Each cabinet houses a 3-inch carbon fibre driver powered by 30 watts per channel for 60 watts total. A built-in 24-bit DAC handles USB audio directly, while Bluetooth 5.0 adds wireless convenience.

Upgrade from basic monitor audio

The jump is worth it when integrated speakers sound thin or lack bass control. The carbon fibre units deliver deeper low frequency down to 27Hz and clearer highs up to 120kHz. Side-mounted treble and bass knobs let you tune the balance without software, replacing the fixed EQ of most built-in solutions.

Fits a compact stereo system

The speakers measure 120 by 120 by 25 millimetres, so they sit easily on a desk or shelf. Connect via 3.5 mm auxiliary, USB or Bluetooth 5.0 to a PC, phone or tablet. AC power removes the need for a separate amplifier, and the noise elimination circuit keeps the background silent during standby.

Questions about this item

How much clearance do the 4.72 inch deep cabinets need on a shelf?

Each cabinet measures 4.72 inches deep, so allow at least that depth plus a small gap behind for the rear bass port to breathe.

Which connection should I use first to activate the built-in 24bit DAC?

Plug the supplied USB cable into your computer; the 24bit DAC engages automatically, then use the side knobs to set volume, treble and bass.

When should I expect to replace the 3.5 inch carbon-fibre drivers?

The carbon-fibre cones are rated for long-term stability; no scheduled replacement is needed unless physical damage or audible distortion occurs.
