Pocket recorder for lectures and meetings

The Generic L8 voice recorder provides 16 GB of internal storage for up to 300 hours of audio. A magnetic base allows hands-free attachment to metal surfaces such as desks or cabinets. One-touch operation starts and stops recording instantly, and files are saved with timestamps for easy retrieval on a computer via USB 3.0. The included earphones are required for private playback.

Sustained recording and charging behaviour

A 400 mAh battery delivers up to 45 hours of continuous recording on a full charge. The unit auto-saves files before shutdown to prevent data loss when power runs low. Recording can continue while the device is connected to a wall adapter or power bank, enabling sessions longer than the battery alone supports. A full recharge takes under two hours.

Simple setup with a compatibility caveat

Connect the recorder to a computer using the USB 3.0 interface to transfer or manage files; no driver installation is needed. The magnetic mount works on any ferrous surface without tools or adhesives. Private listening requires the supplied earphones that plug into the mini-USB jack, as other models are incompatible. Batteries are not user-replaceable.
