55-Gallon Gray Waste Container

The Genuine Joe Gator 00246 is a 55-gallon waste container built for indoor maintenance. One-piece molded construction delivers impact and crush resistance for long-lasting service. The gray body nests without jamming thanks to an offset ridge design. A lid sold separately locks securely to keep out animals and prevent spills if tipped.

Handles and Nesting for Efficient Handling

Ergonomic handles with a larger radius and deeper well make moving and lifting easier. The offset ridge allows multiple containers to stack tightly without binding. At 33 inches tall and 26.8 inches wide, the unit fits standard janitorial workflows. No lid is included, so plan to purchase the matching lockable cover separately.

Suited for High-Volume Indoor Waste Collection

This container serves facilities that need durable, high-capacity waste containment with secure spill protection. Buyers who want a lid included or a smaller footprint should look at other options. The two-pack quantity suits teams that deploy multiple stations at once. Those needing recycled-content construction will need a different product.

Questions about this item

How does the one-piece molded construction hold up when the 55-gallon container is filled to capacity day after day?

The single-piece mold delivers high-impact and crush resistance so the walls do not bow or crack under the full 55-gallon load, even after repeated daily filling.

Does the gray Gator container become noisy or hot when left in a busy corridor all day?

As a passive waste receptacle it generates no noise or heat; the molded gray plastic simply sits in place without fans, motors or power draw.

What separate item is required before the lid can lock securely on this 55-gallon unit?

The locking lid is sold separately; you must purchase the matching Gator lid to secure the container and prevent spills if it tips over.
