Compact mophead for daily cleaning

The Genuine Joe SWH1BEA is a 12 oz synthetic blend mophead designed for routine floor care in offices, schools or healthcare settings. Its rayon cotton finish absorbs six to seven times its weight, reducing the number of trips to the bucket. Looped ends resist fraying and survive repeated laundering.

Low-effort maintenance

The blend requires minimal break-in so it performs well from the first use. Launderable construction keeps the head hygienic without special detergents or high-temperature cycles. Light weight limits operator fatigue during extended cleaning shifts.

Colour coding for cross-contamination control

White finish allows instant visual checks for soil buildup. The same model is available in other colours, letting teams assign specific heads to restrooms, kitchens or patient areas. Looped ends stay intact through wash cycles, preserving the colour code over time.

Questions about this item

How do you attach the 12 oz mophead to a standard clamp-style mop handle?

Slide the looped ends onto the crossbar of the clamp handle and tighten the wing nuts until the head is held firmly; the step people miss is centering the loops so the mop sits flat on the floor.

Can the rayon-cotton blend mophead be machine-washed, and how often should it be replaced?

Yes, the looped ends are designed for repeated laundering; wash in warm water with mild detergent, avoid fabric softener, and replace the head when the strands fray or no longer release dirt after washing.

How long does the 12 oz head stay saturated during continuous mopping of a large floor area?

The rayon-cotton blend absorbs six to seven times its weight, so a fully saturated head typically covers several hundred square feet before it needs re-wetting, depending on floor porosity and solution strength.
