E-ATX board for a single Threadripper PRO CPU with eight DDR5-5200 ECC channels, six PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, four M.2 slots and dual 10 GbE LAN
The GIGABYTE MH53-G40 is an E-ATX server motherboard built around the AMD WRX90 chipset for single AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors up to 350W TDP. It targets professionals who need eight-channel DDR5 memory and six full-length PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for multi-accelerator configurations.
The board uses a standard E-ATX mounting pattern and provides eight 288-pin DDR5 slots that accept registered ECC modules only; unbuffered DIMMs will not post. Four M.2 slots support 2280 or 22110 form factors at PCIe Gen5 x4, while a fifth M.2 slot is wired Gen3 x1 for Wi-Fi add-in cards, so installers must match the correct slot to the device.
Six PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and four Gen5 M.2 drives draw heavily on the CPU’s lane budget, so thermal design must handle continuous throughput from multiple accelerators and storage devices. The Aspeed AST2600 BMC and dual 10Gb/s Broadcom BCM57416 LAN ports operate independently of the main CPU complex, keeping management and data paths responsive during long render or simulation runs.

Enter the BIOS and verify that all eight DDR5 288-pin slots show populated, ECC registered, and operating at the 5200 MT/s data rate across eight channels.
The motherboard includes the E-ATX board, I/O shield, and documentation; you must supply the sTR5 Threadripper PRO processor, eight DDR5 ECC RDIMMs, storage drives, and any required power and data cables.
The block diagram supports up to four dual-slot accelerators; populate Slot_1, Slot_2, Slot_3 and Slot_5 first to keep the remaining slots clear for additional cards.
