Gigastone 256GB SDXC card for Full HD video

This Gigastone SDXC memory card provides 256GB of storage and meets UHS-I, U1 and Class 10 speed ratings. It delivers read speeds up to 80MB/s and write speeds up to 40MB/s. The card is designed for Full HD video recording and fast photo capture with compatible cameras and camcorders.

Suits photographers and videographers using SDXC

The card works with digital point-and-shoot cameras, HD camcorders and DSLRs that accept SDXC media. It is not intended for users who need higher write speeds for 4K or 8K recording. Buyers requiring larger capacities or faster sustained performance should look at other options.

Simple to install and built for durability

Insert the card into any SDXC-compatible slot; no drivers or software are required. The card is waterproof, temperature-proof, shock-proof, X-ray-proof and magnetic-proof. Two mini cases are included for protected storage and transport.

Questions about this item

Does my camera need an SDXC slot to use this 256GB card?

Yes, the card follows the SDXC standard, so the device must explicitly support SDXC; older SDHC-only cameras will not recognise the full 256GB capacity.

Will the UHS-I U1 rating work in a camera that only specifies Class 10?

The card carries both Class 10 and U1 ratings, so it will operate at Class 10 speeds in cameras that do not support the UHS-I bus, and at up to 40MB/s write where U1 is available.

How can I verify the card delivers the advertised 80MB/s read speed after formatting?

Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or Blackmagic Disk Speed Test on a PC; sequential read results should approach 80MB/s and sequential write should approach 40MB/s on a UHS-I reader.
