Universal 12V power adapter with 14 tips

The Gilivier 1202 delivers a constant 12 V DC output at up to 2 A for a maximum of 24 W. It accepts AC 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz and ships with fourteen interchangeable plugs including 5.5×2.1 mm, 5.0×2.5 mm, Micro-USB, Type-C and a DC terminal connector. The main barrel connector is 5.5×2.5 mm with centre-positive polarity. It is intended for fixed 12 V devices such as CCTV cameras, LED strips, routers and Raspberry Pi boards, not for charging battery-powered equipment.

Fire-resistant housing and on-off switch

The adapter body measures 2.2×1.4×1.0 in and weighs 65 g, encased in fire-resistant PC material with over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature cut-off. A 1.88 m pure-copper cable provides flexible placement and the integrated rocker switch cuts power without unplugging. Under normal load the unit runs cool and silent, drawing only the wattage required by the connected device up to the 24 W limit.

Replaces multiple single-tip bricks

One unit supersedes a drawer of fixed-tip 12 V wall warts, reducing clutter for installers who service varied 12 V gear. The jump is worthwhile when you regularly power devices with different barrel sizes or need the convenience of a built-in switch for hard-to-reach sockets. It will not suit equipment that requires more than 2 A, voltages other than 12 V DC, or battery-charging protocols.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 5.5×2.5 mm tip and avoid the polarity mistake people make?

Match the centre pin to positive and the barrel to negative as marked on the adapter; the 5.5×2.5 mm plug is centre-positive so the device must accept that polarity before you plug it in.

Which part of the 14-tip set or cable will need replacement first with daily use?

The interchangeable tips see the most insertions; the 5.5×2.1 mm and 5.5×2.5 mm tips wear fastest, while the 1.88 m pure-copper cable and fire-resistant housing are rated for long-term service.

At what load does the over-temperature protection trip during continuous operation?

The adapter delivers up to 2 A at 12 V (24 W); sustained loads near that 24 W maximum will trigger the built-in over-temperature cutoff first.
