Single 12-Inch Ported Enclosure

The Goldwood E-12SP is a pre-built cabinet designed to house a single 12-inch woofer for car, truck or SUV audio systems. It arrives fully assembled and ready for installation once the user supplies their own speaker and wiring.

Front-Port Tuning And Spring Terminals

The front-firing port is tuned to 32 Hz and can raise output by as much as 2-3 dB while reducing fifth-order harmonic distortion. Spring-loaded positive and negative terminals on each side accept raw speaker wire for a quick, tool-free connection to the woofer.

Fixed Volume And Mounting Constraints

The sealed internal volume is 1.49 cubic feet with a 0.75-inch thick baffle, limiting compatibility to woofers that suit this air space. The cut-out measures 11 inches in diameter with a 14.5-inch mounting depth, so larger or deeper drivers will not fit.

Questions about this item

How often will the spring-loaded wire terminals need to be retightened after daily vibration?

The spring-loaded terminals grip raw wire securely and do not require periodic retightening under normal automotive vibration.

At what volume level does the ported 1.49 cubic foot enclosure reach its 32 Hz tuning limit?

The enclosure is tuned to 32 Hz; output rises up to 2-3 dB at that frequency, and the port reduces 5th order harmonic distortion as excursion increases.

How warm does the MDF cabinet get when the woofer runs continuously for hours?

The 0.75-inch thick CARB-compliant MDF cabinet remains near ambient temperature because the passive enclosure has no internal amplifier to generate heat.
