What it is and who it is for

A pair of passive 2-way rock speakers finished in slate grey for permanent outdoor placement. They require a separate home audio receiver or amplifier delivering 10-250 watts per channel and CL3 rated raw speaker wire. The cabinets are multi-layer composite with silicone sealing and rust-resistant steel grilles. Suited for yards, decks, pool surrounds and commercial patio areas.

What the bundled accessories

The box contains two speakers and an instruction manual only. No wire, connectors or mounting hardware are supplied so the installer must provide CL3 rated 16 gauge wire for runs under 40 feet or 14 gauge wire for longer runs. Each speaker has a 6 inch lead that is spliced to the installer's wire. The manual guides the wiring and placement steps.

Practical limits of the standard

Passive wiring means the system cannot stream wirelessly, adjust volume locally or operate without an external amplifier. Frequency response spans 50Hz-20 kHz with 97dB sensitivity at 8 ohms. The 20 degree upward driver angle directs sound toward listeners but fixes the dispersion pattern. Weatherproof construction resists rain, snow, salt, ice and pool chemicals yet the speakers remain tethered by the length and gauge of the CL3 wire chosen.
