7-Piece In-Wall Speaker Set

The Theater Solutions TS-87 set delivers a complete home theater layout with five in-wall and two in-ceiling speakers. Each unit uses a traditional passive design that draws power from an existing receiver or amplifier. The configuration covers front, centre, rear and overhead channels for immersive surround sound.

Ideal for whole-room surround builds

Buyers planning a dedicated 7-channel installation will find the matching drivers and crossovers simplify system tuning. The rectangular in-wall cut-out and round in-ceiling cut-out suit standard drywall construction. Installers who need active amplification, wireless connectivity or a different channel count should consider other options.

Mounting hardware and crossovers included

The in-wall speakers ship with spring-loaded wire terminals and an infrared knock-out plug for optional remote receivers. The in-ceiling models use a Pressure Lock clamping system that secures to drywall without extra hardware. Second-order 12 dB per octave crossovers are built into every cabinet, ensuring consistent frequency blending across all seven channels.

Questions about this item

What amplifier or receiver do I need to power the TS-87 speaker set?

The set uses traditional passive speakers, so you must connect each one to a home audio receiver or amplifier that can drive 8-ohm loads and supply enough power for your listening level.

Can I mix the TS-87 in-wall and in-ceiling speakers with older 8-ohm speakers I already own?

Yes. Both the TS80W and TS80C models present an 8-ohm nominal impedance, so they can share the same receiver channels with other 8-ohm speakers without impedance mismatch.

How can I verify the TS-87 speakers are performing correctly after installation?

Play a frequency sweep from 30 Hz to 20 kHz through each channel; the in-wall units should reproduce down to 30 Hz at 93 dB sensitivity, and the in-ceiling units to 32 Hz at 92 dB, with clear output from the pivoting tweeters.
