What the Pixel 8 delivers

The Pixel 8 is an unlocked 5G smartphone with 128GB of storage in a Hazel finish. It ships new but carries a B-grade cosmetic rating, so the body may show dents, chips or scuffs and the screen may have hairline scratches. The 6.2-inch OLED panel runs at 120Hz with HDR10+ support and peaks at 2000 nits. Google's Tensor processor drives on-device AI features such as Magic Editor.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The 4575mAh battery supports fast wired and wireless charging for all-day use. The Tensor chip is built with improved thermals to sustain AI workloads without throttling. No moving parts mean silent operation in normal use. IP68 dust and water resistance protects the internals during everyday handling.

How it fits your setup

Dual Nano-SIM and eSIM support lets you run two numbers on one device. Face Unlock and an under-display fingerprint sensor give quick, secure access. Gorilla Glass Victus on front and back plus an aluminium frame add durability. The phone ships with Android 14 and receives Google's direct updates. Buyers who need more onboard storage or a pristine cosmetic appearance should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the Nano-SIM and eSIM together, and which step do people skip?

Insert the Nano-SIM into the tray first, then add the eSIM profile in Settings — skipping the eSIM activation leaves you on a single line.

Which component will need replacement first on this Pixel 8?

The 4,575 mAh battery is the part that degrades first; expect reduced screen-on time after hundreds of full cycles and only an authorised service centre should swap it.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy use?

The Tensor G3 chip triggers thermal throttling before the 120 Hz OLED or 5G modem hit their own limits.
