Smart gooseneck kettle for precise brewing

The Govee H7170 is a 0.8 L electric kettle with a gooseneck spout designed for controlled pouring. It connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for app and voice control. A 1200 W element heats water in roughly 3 to 5 minutes. The stainless steel interior uses a 304 food-grade finish.

Suits pour-over fans who want remote scheduling

This kettle suits users who need to-the-degree temperature selection between 104 °F and 212 °F and a two-hour keep-warm function. It is not for households that require larger volumes than 0.8 L per boil. Buyers without a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network cannot use the remote features. The 120 V 60 Hz rating limits use to compatible mains supplies.

Simple countertop setup with a few cautions

Place the base, fill to the max line, and pair the app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The gooseneck spout encourages a slow, steady stream but demands care to avoid steam burns. The lid and body become very hot during operation. Hard water may leave spots on the stainless steel bottom after initial uses.

Questions about this item

Does this kettle need a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to use the app scheduling and voice control features?

Yes, the kettle connects only to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and the app uses that link for scheduling and voice commands.

Can I keep using my existing 5 GHz-only router if I pair the kettle via Bluetooth instead?

Bluetooth pairing works without Wi-Fi, but control range stays within Bluetooth distance and you lose remote scheduling when away from the kitchen.

How do I know the water has reached the exact temperature I set in the app?

The kettle beeps three times when the target temperature is reached, and the app shows the current temperature in real time.
