Long-range outdoor Wi-Fi 6 access point

The GWN7664LR is an outdoor 802.11ax access point built for medium-to-large businesses and enterprises that need extended coverage across indoor and outdoor areas. It delivers 3.55Gbps aggregate wireless throughput and 3.5Gbps aggregate wired throughput through dual-band 4×4:4 MU-MIMO with DL/UL OFDMA technology. A weatherproof casing and heat-resistant design support operation in exposed environments.

Suits campuses needing wide coverage

This model suits organisations such as warehouses, hospitals, schools and multi-floor offices that require up to 300-meter coverage range and support for 750+ concurrent Wi-Fi client devices. It is less appropriate for small indoor-only deployments where a shorter-range unit would be sufficient, or for buyers who need more storage or switching features not provided by an access point.

Managed through embedded controller

Installation is simplified by self power adaptation that auto-detects PoE or PoE+ on the dual Gigabit network ports. The built-in controller in the web interface, GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager provide free management options. Mesh networking, captive portals and advanced QoS are configured through these interfaces; misconfiguration of VLAN or QoS settings is the most common issue during initial setup.

Questions about this item

Do I need a PoE or PoE+ switch or injector to power the GWN7664LR?

The GWN7664LR uses self power adaptation that auto-detects PoE or PoE+ on its dual Gigabit ports, so a compatible PoE source is required for operation.

Can the GWN7664LR mesh with other Grandstream Wi-Fi 6 access points I already have?

The GWN7664LR supports mesh networking, allowing it to link with compatible Grandstream Wi-Fi 6 APs to extend coverage across large indoor or outdoor areas.

How can I verify the GWN7664LR is delivering its rated 3.55Gbps wireless throughput after setup?

Use the built-in web controller or GWN.Cloud to monitor real-time client counts, signal quality, and aggregate throughput across both bands to confirm performance.
