Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point with 4x4 MIMO, 2.5 GbE uplink and up to 3.46 Gbit/s aggregate throughput
The WatchGuard AP432 is an indoor wireless access point built for high-density environments that demand Wi-Fi 6 performance. It operates on dual 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz bands with eight internal antennas and MIMO technology. The unit delivers up to 2400 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with a maximum transmit power of 23dBm. Secure WPA3 encryption is supported for protected connectivity.
This access point draws 19.50 W and connects via a single RJ-45 port rated for 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. Confirm your switch can supply sufficient Power over Ethernet on the intended port and that the 2.5 Gbps uplink meets your backhaul requirements. The device is designed for indoor mounting only and uses internal antennas, so external antenna placement is not an option.
The AP432 upgrades installations still running earlier Wi-Fi standards or access points limited to 1 Gbps Ethernet. The jump is worth it when you need higher aggregate throughput of 3.46 Gbit/s, 4x4 radio chains for dense client loads, and WPA3 security in a single indoor unit. It is not suited for outdoor deployments or scenarios requiring multiple uplink ports.

The AP432 unit ships with internal antennas and a single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port. A PoE injector or compatible switch, mounting hardware and a WatchGuard cloud licence are sold separately.
Both radios operate simultaneously; the 5 GHz radio delivers up to 2400 Mbps and the 2.4 GHz radio up to 1148 Mbps, so client devices automatically select the best band.
That figure is the combined PHY rate of both radios (2400 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Real-world throughput will be lower due to overhead, interference and client capabilities.
