Direct-thermal printing requires no ink or toner

Labels darken only where the print head applies heat, so there are no consumables beyond the roll itself. The adhesive is rated for all-temperature indoor use on paper, plastic, jars, bottles and similar surfaces. Print quality stays sharp for scanning and the material resists yellowing and smudging under normal conditions.
