They are intended for indoor use on dry, flat and smooth surfaces such as offices, homes or warehouses.

Print Quality and Durability

Black print on white 12mm tape produces clear, legible labels for organising files, shelves or equipment. The manufacturer states the print resists fading, water, grease, grime, abrasion and temperature variations. Labels also offer anti-corrosion and anti-UV protection so the print remains in place without peeling or cracking under normal indoor conditions. No special storage or handling is required beyond keeping the tapes dry.

12mm Width by 26.2ft Length

The single specification that decides fit is the 12mm (0.47 inch) width combined with an 8 metre (26.2ft) roll length. Only label makers that accept Brother M-series 12mm cartridges can use these tapes. Buyers who need a different width, a laminated finish or outdoor-rated adhesive cannot use this product.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 12mm tape cassette into a Brother PT-70 label maker without jamming?

Open the cover, drop the cassette in with the tape facing down, thread the end through the guide slot, close the cover, then press the feed key once to advance the tape past the cutter.

When will the print on these non-laminated labels start to fade indoors?

The direct-thermal print stays legible for years on dry, flat surfaces; replace a roll when the text becomes too light to read or the adhesive no longer holds.

At what temperature does the adhesive on the 0.47 inch tape lose its grip during continuous use?

The tape is rated for normal indoor temperatures; sustained heat above typical room conditions can soften the adhesive and cause edges to lift first.
