What this set includes

Who this suits

Small workgroups using any of the listed DCP, HL or MFC models can replace both consumables in one purchase and avoid mixing old drums with new toner. Buyers who need colour output, MICR printing or a different page-yield tier should look at other supplies.

Yield per component

Each toner cartridge is rated for up to 8000 pages and each drum unit for up to 25000 pages at 5% coverage on Letter or A4 paper. The actual number of pages will vary with document density, print mode and environmental conditions.

Questions about this item

Which Brother laser printers accept the TN580 toner and DR520 drum units in this set?

The set fits Brother DCP-8060, DCP-8065DN, DCP-8080DN, DCP-8085DN, HL-5240, HL-5250DN, HL-5270DN, HL-5280DW, HL-5340D, HL-5350DN, HL-5370DW, MFC-8460N, MFC-8480DN, MFC-8660DN, MFC-8670DN, MFC-8680DN, MFC-8690DW, MFC-8860DN, MFC-8870DW and MFC-8890DW.

Can I keep using an older drum unit such as a DR620 while installing the new TN580 toner cartridges?

The TN580 cartridges are designed to work with DR520 or DR620 drum units, so an existing DR620 drum can stay in the printer while you swap in the new toner.

How do I confirm the set is printing at the rated 8000 pages per toner and 25000 pages per drum?

Print a test page at 5% coverage and track the page counter; the toner should last around 8000 pages and the drum around 25000 pages before replacement is needed.
