What this tape does

GREENCYCLE TZe-841 is a 18mm laminated label tape that prints black text on a gold background. It suits anyone labelling files, tools, shelving or shipping packages where a high-contrast metallic look helps readability. The four-pack gives 26.2 feet per roll for extended use across office, warehouse or home projects.

Installation and common issues

The cartridge drops straight into compatible Brother P-touch machines such as the PT-D400, PT-D600, PT-E550W or PT-H300 series without tools. Misalignment only occurs if the guide tabs are not fully seated; a firm click confirms correct placement. The adhesive is designed to peel cleanly, so residue appears only when labels are left on porous surfaces for very long periods.

Limits of the TZe format

TZe cassettes work only with printers that accept the TZe/TZ cartridge profile; they will not fit older TZ-only or non-Brother systems. The 18mm width caps the maximum character height and barcode density, so very small fonts or dense 2D codes may not scan reliably. Extreme heat or prolonged UV exposure can eventually degrade the laminate despite its water, oil and dust resistance.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 18mm tape feeds and prints correctly on my PT-D410 after loading the cassette?

Insert a cassette, run a test print from the label maker menu, and check that the 18mm black-on-gold labels come out with crisp text, no smudges, and the laminate intact.

What does the 4-pack contain and is there anything else I need to start labelling?

The pack includes four TZe-841 cassettes, each 18mm wide by 26.2 feet long; no extra ribbon or cartridge is required — just load one into a compatible P-touch model.

Which cassette version should I choose if my label maker is a PT-E550W and I need gold background labels?

Choose this TZe-841 18mm black-on-gold laminated tape; it is listed as compatible with the PT-E550W and matches the 18mm width that model accepts.
