GS2 Games War Mongrels 77728 ps5 video game

PS5 war strategy game

War Mongrels is a tactical stealth game for PlayStation 5 that follows two Wehrmacht soldiers turning against the Nazi regime. The story draws on less-depicted Eastern Front events and shows how ordinary men become resistance fighters. Players who want a historically grounded, character-driven tactics experience will find a focused single-player campaign here.

Replaces generic WWII shooters

Unlike run-and-gun action titles, this game demands planning, distraction, and silent takedowns across varied missions. The jump is worth it when you prefer thoughtful squad coordination over reflex combat and want a narrative that examines propaganda, comradeship, and moral choice rather than spectacle.

Sustained tactical pacing

Missions unfold at a deliberate pace that rewards observation and experimentation with each character's distinct skill set. Difficulty scales through enemy placement and environmental complexity instead of check-point spam, so tension remains steady across long play sessions without relying on difficulty spikes or grinding loops.
