5 MP Turret Network Camera

The Gyration CYBERVIEW 510T is a 5 MP turret network camera built for outdoor surveillance. Its 1/2.7" CMOS sensor captures video at 2880x1620 pixels and 25 fps, with additional streams at 4 MP, 3 MP and 2 MP resolutions. Power over Ethernet simplifies cabling by delivering data and power over a single wire. The IP67-rated metal housing withstands harsh weather, making it suitable for perimeter monitoring on homes or small business premises.

Micro SD Storage and ONVIF Integration

A Micro SD slot accepts cards up to 256 GB for local recording without a separate recorder. ONVIF compliance allows the camera to work with compatible third-party NVRs and video management software. Video compression uses Ultra 265, H.265, H.264 and MJPEG to balance quality and bandwidth. Intelligent perimeter features such as cross-line and intrusion detection focus on human and vehicle targets to reduce false alerts.

PoE Installation and Common Issues

Power over Ethernet means only one cable run is needed, easing installation for DIY users. The turret form factor mounts on walls or ceilings with standard brackets. Common problems include insufficient PoE budget on the switch, which prevents the camera from powering up, and Micro SD cards that are not formatted to the required file system, causing recording failures. Ensure the network switch supplies adequate power per port and format the card in the camera interface before use.

Questions about this item

How often should the Micro SD card be replaced when recording continuously at 5MP 2880x1620 @25fps?

The camera supports up to 256GB Micro SD cards; card lifespan depends on write cycles and capacity, so plan replacement based on your chosen card's endurance rating and daily footage volume.

What limits sustained 5MP 2880x1620 @25fps recording over long periods?

The 256GB Micro SD card capacity and the selected compression format (Ultra 265, H.265, H.264 or MJPEG) determine how many hours of 5MP footage can be stored before overwrite begins.

How much heat does the IP67 turret generate when powered via PoE and streaming 5MP video all day?

The camera operates on Power over Ethernet within an IP67-rated metal housing designed for outdoor extremes; no specific heat-dissipation figure is published.
