Premium Baryta Paper for Fine Art Printing

Hahnemuhle Baryta FB is a bright white, high-gloss inkjet paper designed for photographers and artists who require gallery-grade output. The 100% alpha-cellulose base is acid-free and buffered with calcium carbonate for archival longevity. Its ultra-smooth surface and premium baryta coating deliver exceptional detail, vibrant colours and deep density.

Practical Limits of Inkjet Media

This paper works with both pigment and dye inkjet systems, but it cannot compensate for a printer that lacks the resolution or ink set to exploit its dynamic range. The 350 gsm weight demands a straight-through paper path; rollers designed for lighter office stock may misfeed or leave marks. Instant drying prevents smudging, yet the high-gloss finish shows fingerprints if handled without care.

Upgrade from Standard Photo Papers

It replaces everyday glossy or semi-gloss sheets when the goal is museum-level permanence and a traditional baryta look. The jump is worth it for exhibition prints, limited editions or portfolios where archival certification matters. It is not for high-volume draft printing, buyers who need roll formats, or workflows that require matte or textured surfaces.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 25-sheet pack or a larger quantity?

The box contains 25 sheets of 350 gsm paper in 8.5x11 inch format; if you print frequently or need test prints, consider ordering multiple boxes to avoid running out mid-project.

What does the 350 gsm weight mean for my prints?

At 350 gsm the sheet feels thick and rigid like a traditional darkroom print, giving gallery-ready heft and reducing curl when handled or framed.

Is the baryta coating compatible with both pigment and dye inkjet printers?

Yes, the high-gloss baryta inkjet coating is engineered for both pigmented and dye ink systems, delivering wide colour gamut and sharp detail on either technology.
