Premium Fine Art Inkjet Paper

Hahnemuhle Matte Photo Rag is a 310 gsm, 100% cotton rag inkjet paper with a smooth, extra bright white surface. The 24x36 inch sheets provide a large canvas for professional photographers and artists producing gallery-quality prints. Acid-free construction ensures archival longevity for valuable artwork and limited editions.

Suited for Archival Fine Art

This paper suits photographers and printmakers who require maximum colour vibrancy and deep black density on a non-reflective matte finish. The extra bright white base outperforms the 308 variant for high-contrast work. Buyers needing a textured surface, roll format, or a lower GSM weight for standard framing should look at alternative media.

310 GSM Weight Defines Handling

The 310 gsm weight gives each sheet a substantial, rigid feel that resists curling during printing and handling. This thickness supports heavy ink loads without cockling and provides the tactile presence expected in museum-grade presentations. Lighter papers will not deliver the same structural stability for large 24x36 inch output.

Questions about this item

What printer is required to use the 24x36" sheets?

Any inkjet printer that accepts 24x36" media and supports matte fine-art papers will work with these sheets.

Can I print on this 310 gsm paper with the same profile I use for Photo Rag 308?

The extra bright white base of this 310 gsm paper differs from Photo Rag 308, so a dedicated ICC profile for this specific paper is recommended for accurate colour.

How can I verify the archival quality of the 100% rag sheets after printing?

The 100% cotton rag construction is acid-free by design, which provides the archival longevity; proper handling and storage will preserve the prints for generations.
