Tip series and compatible stations

The Hakko T15-D52 is a chisel-type soldering tip built for the T15 series. It fits handpieces FM-2027 and FM-2028 and works with stations FM-202, FM-203, FM-204, FM-206, FP-101, FP-102, FX-950 and FX-951. The tip is intended for general soldering applications where a broad, flat face is preferred.

Thermal response under continuous use

The composite material delivers heat to the joint quickly and recovers temperature between joints during extended sessions. A maximum operating temperature of 840 degrees Fahrenheit provides headroom for lead-free alloys without overshooting sensitive components. Steady output is maintained across repeated cycles when paired with a compatible T15-series station.

Chisel width 5.2 mm

The 5.2 mm wide by 8 mm long chisel face with 1.2 mm thickness determines the contact area and heat volume available for each joint. This geometry suits through-hole pads, larger surface-mount pads and wire-to-terminal work. It is not suited for fine-pitch IC legs or dense SMD rework where a narrower tip is required.
