Hamilton Buhl KIDS-RED Flex-Phones for children

Hamilton Buhl KIDS-RED Flex-Phones are headphones built for children aged three and up. A single piece of EVA foam forms the entire frame, making the set soft, flexible and nearly indestructible. The foam is non-toxic and BPA-free, and the product meets major USA and international child safety standards. A snap-on extension band is included to give smaller heads a snugger fit.

Volume-limited 85 dB drivers

The 30 mm drivers deliver a 20 Hz to 20 KHz frequency response at 32 ohms impedance. Sensitivity is capped at 85 dB to protect developing ears during extended listening. The 4-foot Dura-Cord uses a PVC-jacketed, braided nylon construction that resists chewing, kinking and knots. A standard 3.5 mm stereo plug connects to tablets, laptops and most classroom devices.

Lightweight foam build with optional hygiene covers

At 0.39 lb the headphones add minimal weight for young users. The one-piece EVA foam design has no hinges or moving parts that can snap under rough handling. Disposable HygenX25 sanitary ear cushion covers are available as a 50-pair accessory for shared environments such as schools or libraries. The package also includes the snap-on extension band for a secure fit on smaller children.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the snap-on extension band for a smaller child?

Align the band with the notches on the single-piece EVA foam frame and press until it clicks; the most common mistake is forcing it upside-down, which bends the tabs.

Which replaceable part keeps the ear cups hygienic for classroom sharing?

The optional HygenX25 disposable sanitary ear cushion covers come in a box of 50 pairs and slide over the foam pads for single-use protection.

Will the 85 dB volume limit hold during a long movie session?

Yes, the sensitivity is capped at 85 dB ±3 dB so the output never exceeds that level even with continuous playback at maximum device volume.
