Classroom headset with steel gooseneck

The HamiltonBuhl ST2BK is an over-ear stereo headset built for daily use in K-12 environments. Its adjustable headband and leatherette cushions fit students of different ages while isolating background noise. A flexible, steel-reinforced gooseneck microphone captures speech with an omnidirectional pattern. The 5-foot Dura-Cord resists chewing, kinking and knotting.

Single-plug TRRS connection for modern ports

The 3.5 mm TRRS plug carries both audio and microphone signals through one 120-degree angled barrel. This four-pole connector matches the combined headset jack found on current Chromebooks, laptops, tablets and many gaming consoles. No separate microphone and headphone sockets are required, so cable clutter stays minimal.

Wired simplicity for shared-device carts

Because the headset draws power and signal entirely from the 3.5 mm port, it needs no batteries, charging time or wireless pairing. The braided nylon cord survives repeated coiling in storage carts and classroom bins. Leatherette pads wipe clean between users, and the lightweight frame reduces fatigue during long testing or language sessions.

Questions about this item

How loud will the 100 dB sensitivity play from a typical laptop or phone?

At 100 dB sensitivity and 32 ohms impedance the headset reaches comfortable classroom volume from standard 3.5 mm ports without needing extra amplification.

What does the 3.5 mm TRRS plug with a 120° angle and thin barrel connect to?

The 3.5 mm TRRS connector carries stereo audio and microphone signals in one plug and fits Chromebooks, PCs, Macs, tablets and most gaming systems that have a single 3.5 mm headset jack.

Will the 7 by 6.25 by 3 inch ear cups and adjustable headband fit an adult as well as a student?

The circumaural leatherette cushions and adjustable headband accommodate a wide range of head sizes, while the 5 foot Dura-Cord gives enough reach for desk or floor use.
