Premium Inkjet & Laser Paper

Hammermill 166140R is a 24 lb uncoated sheet in 8.5x11 inches with a 97 brightness level and blue-white shade. The pack contains 500 sheets and is manufactured in the USA with FSC certification. It is designed for versatile double-sided printing on both inkjet and laser devices. The acid-free composition prevents yellowing over time for archival quality.

Sustained load behaviour

ColorLok Technology delivers colours that are 30% brighter and blacks that are 60% bolder while ink dries three times faster. This reduces smudging during high-volume print runs and keeps output consistent across long jobs. The heavy 24 lb basis weight feeds reliably through all office equipment without jamming. Acid-free stock maintains integrity through repeated handling and storage.

Upgrade path

This paper replaces standard 20 lb sheets rated at 92 brightness when sharper contrast and heavier feel are required. The jump is worth it for customer-facing documents such as proposals, brochures and colour-intensive reports. It is not suited for users who only need basic monochrome drafts or who require heavier 28 lb or 32 lb stocks for premium covers.

Questions about this item

Does the 97 brightness and uncoated finish cause extra heat or static in a laser printer running all day?

The 24 lb sheet with 97 brightness and ColorLok technology is designed for smooth, jam-free runs in both inkjet and laser machines, so heat buildup and static are no greater than with standard office paper.

What printer or copier do I need to use this 8.5x11 ream?

It works in any inkjet or laser device that accepts 8.5 x 11 inch letter-size paper; no special model or accessory is required.

Will the 24 lb weight and 97 brightness feed reliably in an older desktop laser printer?

Yes, the paper is engineered for dependable performance on all office equipment, including legacy laser printers, and its acid-free composition prevents yellowing over time.
